The premise is that I want to show the common ground between light and movement—its ephemerality. Photograph being its vessel.

About the Work:
How do you carve form out of the intangible?
A feeling, a greater source, unsung grief, even love — all born from a photograph or a piece of something to hold.
In Colin’s eyes, movement finds its place in the light, venerated through Louis Poulsen’s signature fixtures. Light and movement, metaphorically speaking, are possessions that elude physical grasp. Yet, literally, both are intimately choreographed, requiring touch and occupying space. Shot in phases from abstraction to form, this interplay is explored through Source, Movement, Breath, and Evolution: the many ways in which light searches for its form.
